Level 4 BTEC HNC Diploma in Engineering Environmental Technologies (Construction & the Built Environment)
Course Overview

This course is designed for individuals wishing to pursue a career as a construction professional is one of the following roles:

Architects and Designers, Sustainable Designers, Quantity Surveyors, Construction Managers, Civil Engineers, Project Managers, Surveyors, Building Control Officers or Structural Engineers.

Course Content

There is a total number of EIGHT units delivered over TWO years which will cover the following topics:

  • Sustainable Design
  • Construction Management
  • Health, Safety and Welfare
  • Science and Materials
  • Project Management
  • Construction Technology
  • Construction Economics
  • Measuring, Estimating and Tendering
  • Planning and Building Regulations
  • CAD Design
  • Site Surveying
  • Construction Mathematics
Entry Requirements
Must be aged 18 or over
Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification and/or
Relevant work experience
Successful interview with course leader
GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above
For international students there is an ESOL requirement/IELTS score of 6 (minimum of 5.5 across every element).
What does this course lead to?
Predominantly assignment based with practical work-based elements.
