Understanding Retail Operations (Level 2 NCFE Certificate)
Course Overview

The UK retail industry is one of the largest private sector employers, servicing over 60 million customers a week.  There is therefore a constant need for staff with the knowledge and skills to continue the success of this sector.

This nationally recognised qualification offers the flexibility for you to study at a time and place that suits you.  You will be assigned a tutor to support you if you need it.

The course is suitable if you just want to learn more about this fast-paced sector and if you are looking to gain employment - or enhance your prospects - in this area.

Course Content

The qualification consists of eight units, such as:

  • understanding customer service in the retail sector
  • how teamwork contributes to the effectiveness of retail business
  • dealing with customer queries and complaints
  • understanding the control, receipt and storage of stock.
Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but you will find it helpful to have a good level of English and maths.

Assessment
There are no exams to be taken for this course; your learning will be assessed through a number of assignments (either online or paper-based, to suit you).
